XRP and Ripple Swell 2026: What Price History Shows
Ripple's Swell runs October 27 to 29, 2026. What XRP's price did around past Swells, why this year may differ, and the host's three-line plan.

Key takeaways
- Ripple's Swell conference runs October 27 to 29, 2026 at The Shed in New York, and the Fed's rate decision lands on October 28, day two.
- According to the video, XRP did not rise more than about 2% across any of the last nine Swells, measured from the night before opening to the final day, and it fell in five of them.
- The video says XRP rose about 17% in the week before Swell 2021 and about 14% before Dubai in 2023, then fell once each conference started.
- Nine events is a small sample, and 2026 is the first Swell with US spot XRP ETFs trading, so the past pattern may not repeat in either direction.
- The video suggests writing down an add price, a trim price and a maximum amount before October 27, then checking that note before reacting to any headline.
Ripple’s Swell conference runs October 27 to 29, 2026 in New York. According to the video, XRP’s price record around past Swells is weak. Across the last nine events, measured from the night before opening to the final day, XRP never rose more than about 2%, and it fell in five of them.
That matters because Swell week is when countdown posts and headlines push holders to act. The video argues that much of the buying happens in the quiet weeks before anyone is on stage, so people who buy on headline day are often buying after the move. This year also brings new variables: a Federal Reserve decision in the middle of the conference, and the first Swell with US spot XRP ETFs trading.
What is Ripple Swell 2026?
Ripple Swell is Ripple’s own annual conference, where the company presents itself to banks and payment firms. The 2026 edition runs October 27 to 29 at The Shed in New York. According to the video, the guest list includes the head of the CME, which the video describes as the world’s biggest futures market. It also includes people from BNY, State Street, Barclays, Coinbase and Robinhood.
The video plays Ripple’s own promotional film from the November 2025 event in New York. In it, Ripple tells attendees: “you’re already helping set the stage for the rest to follow.” The host reads this as big institutions setting the stage, with ordinary holders following once the price has already moved.
What did XRP do at past Swells?
According to the daily price records the video cites, XRP has mostly fallen or stayed flat during past Swells. Those records go back to every Swell since 2017. The examples the video highlights:
| Swell | What Ripple announced or what happened | XRP move reported in the video |
|---|---|---|
| Singapore, 2019 | Ripple said it had passed 300 customers | Fell about 6% that day, while Bitcoin slipped about 1.5% |
| 2021 | Ripple previewed a service for businesses to buy and sell crypto, including XRP | Fell about 6% on the day Bitcoin hit what was then a record high |
| Dubai, 2023 | Conference week | Fell almost 3% while Bitcoin rose almost 4% |
| Miami, 2024 | Conference week | Roughly flat; the video says the larger jump the following month came from the US election |
| New York, 2025 | Ripple raised $500 million at a $40 billion valuation | Rose about 6% that day, the one year XRP jumped on announcement day |
The video puts dollar figures on two of these. In 2021, it says, 10,000 XRP was worth around $12,800 the night before Swell and about $8,000 a month later, a loss of nearly $5,000. For 2025, the video says that despite the 6% gain on announcement day, 10,000 XRP was worth about $2,750 less a month later than it was the night before Swell opened.
For the broader pattern, Bullrunners has covered why XRP often drops after good news.
Does the move happen before Swell starts?
In two of the years the video cites, it did. According to the video, XRP rose about 17% in the week before Swell 2021 and about 14% in the week before Dubai in 2023. Both times, the price fell once the conference started.
The host sums this up by saying institutions “buy the quiet and you get sold the noise.” On that view, holders who bought on headline day were buying after the run-up had already happened.
The video uses the 2025 funding round to argue that large investors get in early. The round was led by funds tied to Fortress Investment Group and Citadel Securities, with Pantera Capital, Galaxy Digital, Brevan Howard and Marshall Wace also taking part. The host’s point is that these investors bought a stake in Ripple the company at a price agreed privately. The press release, in his words, was simply the day the public found out.
The video also plays a CNBC segment about late 2025. The speaker in the clip says money flowed into XRP ETFs during the slow fourth quarter. That was the opposite of spot Bitcoin and Ether ETFs, where flows tended to move with the price. The speaker says that bet paid off in the first six trading days of January. Bullrunners has looked at the same theme in why XRP ETFs kept buying on red days.
What is Evernorth’s Swell surprise?
According to the video, nobody outside Evernorth knows yet. The video describes Evernorth as a Nasdaq-listed company holding about 470 million XRP and an official Swell partner. It says the company posted on October 19 that “something special is planned.”
The video does not say what the surprise might be. Its point is that insiders learn first and the public learns from a headline. Later, the host adds that the announcement could turn out to be significant. For background on the company, see how the Evernorth XRP treasury company works.
Why Swell 2026 might not follow the pattern
The video is clear that the price record is not a law of nature. The host compares it to the weather: nine wet Octobers don’t promise a wet tenth. The video gives several reasons for caution:
- Small sample. Nine events is not much data.
- Unusual years. Two past Swells were online only, and one came the week after the FTX collapse.
- The Fed on day two. The Federal Reserve announces its rate decision on October 28. That decision can move the whole market either way, regardless of what Ripple says.
- ETFs are new. This is the first Swell with US spot XRP ETFs trading, since they launched in November 2025. That adds a new type of buyer and seller that no past Swell can account for.
- The Evernorth announcement. The video says it could be genuinely big.
The video’s conclusion is that 2026 could break the pattern up or down.
Where XRP stands going into Swell
According to the video, CoinGecko showed XRP at about $1.31 on October 18, 2026. That compares with a high of about $3.65 in July 2025, which puts the price nearly two-thirds below its peak. Many holders are sitting on losses.
The host argues that this is the kind of setup where people make their worst decisions. Sitting out a rally feels painful, and buying into a drop feels worse. Either way, in his view, the headline ends up making the call rather than the holder.
What the host says he would not do around Swell
The host lists three things he personally would not do around Swell. They are his own views, and they all come back to not letting a single day’s news drive a decision.
- Buying the green candle because a countdown said so. The host says he would not buy on the morning of a headline just because a countdown prompted it.
- Borrowing to bet on a stage announcement. He says he would not borrow money to bet on what is said on stage. He points to the Fed’s October 28 decision, which can move the market for reasons unrelated to Ripple.
- Panic-selling into a dip afterwards. He says he would not sell into a post-headline dip either, because in the record the video cites, a dip after a headline has been normal.
A three-line plan to write before October 27
The most practical part of the video is a short exercise the host suggests doing while things are quiet. The steps, as the video describes them:
- Open the notes app on your phone.
- Write three lines: the price at which you would be happy to add, the price at which you would take some off the table, and the most you are willing to put in.
- Screenshot the note and keep it on your home screen until Swell is over.
- If a headline hits and you feel the urge to act, look at the note first. The host’s rule is that if the action isn’t on the note, he doesn’t take it.
The idea, as the host puts it, is to decide in advance so the headline can’t push you around.
What to watch during Swell week
Three things are worth following between October 27 and 29. The first is what Evernorth actually announces. The second is the Federal Reserve’s rate decision on October 28. The third is how US spot XRP ETF flows behave during the conference.
It can also help to compare any XRP price move against Bitcoin over the same days, as the video does. That shows whether XRP is moving on its own news or with the wider market. Past Swells are a small sample, not a forecast.

Most years, Ripple books a big room in a big city, and the banks and the big funds walk in with their badges on, and a lot of the buying gets done in the quiet weeks before anyone's on stage. And then the headline lands, and that's the day the rest of us get told to pile in. Right, Bull Runners? From the 27th to the 29th of October, 2026, Ripple holds its Swell Conference at the shed in New York, and the guest list has the boss of the CME, the world's biggest futures market. plus people from BNY, State Street, Barclays, Coinbase, and Robin Hood. And I need you to hear this.
XRP holders, swell opens on the 27th of October, and the big money moves before the headline. And if you own XRP, buying the swell headline on the day is how holders keep getting caught. Because over the last nine swells, XRP never rose more than about 2% in a single one. And in five of them, it fell. So, don't get played again.
And that's not me guessing because the daily price records go back to every swell since 2017, measured from the night before it opened to its last day. And then on the 19th of October, Evernorth, a NASDAQ company sitting on about 470 million XRP and an official Swell partner, posted that something special is planned. Nobody outside knows what that is, but just think about who gets to know first and who finds out from a headline. So, keep an eye on the top link in the description because it's changed how a lot of people handle weeks exactly like this one. And before we finish, I'll tell you what's behind it.
My name's Rory. I've been trading crypto and forex since 2020, and it's given me a full-time income and the freedom to travel the world while I do it. And stick with me because I'm going to show you exactly what XRP actually did around swell from 2019 to 2025. Why the move so often happens before anyone's on stage and a twominute thing to do on your phone before the 27th. So the headline can't push you around.
Like if you're bullish, let's run it. [music] Hey bull runners, welcome back. So what actually is SWL? Well, it's Ripple's own conference where it sells itself to banks and payment firms. And Ripple's own firm from New York in November 2025 tells you how it sees the room. Ripple has been leading from the front for over a decade.
Despite regulatory headwinds, we never stopped building. And today, the world isn't just embracing the potential of crypto, but showing up in full force. So, if you're here, you're already helping set the stage for the rest to follow. That's what Swell is all about. For the rest to follow.
And that's us, isn't it? They set the stage and the rest of us follow. And by the time we followed the price has actually done most of its moving. So let me show you what it did. Take Singapore in 2019.
Ripple said it had passed 300 customers and XRP fell about 6% that day while Bitcoin only slipped about 1 and a half. Then in 2021, Ripple previewed a new service for businesses to buy and sell crypto. XRP included. And XRP fell about 6%. On the very day Bitcoin hit what was then its record high.
And if you've gone into that one with 10,000 XRP, it was worth around $12,800 the night before and about 11,92 days later. And a month on, the very same coins were worth about 8,000. So nearly $5,000 gone off one bag in the month after a big announcement. And here's the bit that should make you angry. In 2021, XRP went up about 17% the week before swell and before Dubai in 2023, it went up about 14%.
And both times it fell once the conference started. So the move happened in the quiet week and the people who bought on the day you know the headlines came out were buying after the move had happened. They buy the quiet and you get sold the noise. And Dubai is a good one to look at because in that swell week, Bitcoin went up almost 4% and XRP fell almost three. So if you were sat there thinking, well, the market's up.
I'm fine. You weren't. Then Miami in 2024 was flat as a pancake. And the big jump in the month after came from the US election, not from anything said on a swell stage. So who gets to buy in the quiet?
Well, look at New York in November 2025, the one year XRP actually jumped on announcement day. Ripple announced it had raised money from Wall Street. And here's who was at the front of the queue. Crypto conglomerate Ripple has raised $500 million at a $40 billion valuation led by funds tied to Fortress Investment Group, Citadel Securities, as well as Panta Capital, Galaxy Digital, Brevon Howard, and Marshall Waist, Fortress, Citadel, Brevin Howard. And those aren't people buying XRP on an app at 11 at night after a countdown videos, are they?
They bought a slice of Ripple, the company, at a price agreed behind closed doors. And the press release is the day you found out. And yes, XRP went up about 6% that day. So, fair is fair. But a month later, 10,000 XRP was worth about $2,750, less than it was the night before Swell opened.
And it's not just Swell, because listen to CNBC on what's going on with XRP in the quiet end of 2025. actually been interesting is that during the doldrums of Q4, you actually saw a lot of people piling into those XRP ETFs, which is the exact opposite of what happens with the spot. Bitcoin and Ether ETFs where people really move in tandem with the price of the coin, but it was the fact that it is a way to have a higher percentage jump. So, people were buying the dip with XRP in Q4, thinking this is a less crowded trade than Bitcoin or Ether. And then that proved out to be true just in the first six trading days of January. the doldrums. That's when the money was piling in, when it was boring, when nobody at the pub was talking about it.
They buy the quiet and you get sold the noise because the noise is a bit that gets sent to you, isn't it? The countdowns, the big red arrows, the something special is planned and that's the moment ordinary holders get told it's time to jump. So, what should you actually do around swell? Well, let me be brutally honest with you. The first thing is what I wouldn't do.
I wouldn't go and buy the green candle on the morning of a headline because a countdown told me to. I wouldn't borrow money to bet on what gets said on a stage because the Fed makes its rate decision on the 28th of October, which is day two of swell, and that can move the whole market either way, whatever Ripple says. And I wouldn't panic sell into a dip after it either, because the record shows a dip after a headline has been normal, not the end of the world. What I do is decide my plan before the 27th while it's quiet and and stick to it whatever the headline says. And here's your check.
Open your notes app and write three lines. The price you'd be happy to add at, the price you take a bit off the table at, and the most you'll put in. Then screenshot it and keep it on your home screen till swell's done. Because if the headline hits on the 27th and your thumb starts heading for the buy button, you look at that note first. And if it isn't on there, you don't do it.
Drop it in the comments. Have you ever bought XRP on a big headline day? And how does it go for you? But this record isn't a law of nature because it's a bit like the weather. And nine wet October don't promise you a wet 10th.
Nine's a small number to start with. Two of them were online only and one landed the week after FDX collapsed. And this one's different in two big ways because there's the Fed on day two and it's the first swell with the US spot XRP ETFs trading which only's got going in November 2025. So there's a new kind of buyer and seller in the market that no past well can tell us about and ever north surprise could be genuinely big. So, this one could break the pattern up or down.
And look at where XRP sits because on the 18th of October 2026, Coin Gecko had it about a$131 against a high of about $365 back in July 2025, which is nearly 2/3 off the top. So, plenty of holders are sat on a loss. And a headline that feels like a lifetime is exactly the moment people make their worst calls. And I get it because you've got real money in this and it's money with a job to do. Whether that's the grandkids, a new roof, retiring a couple of years early, or just not lying awake about it.
And every time there's a big event, you get that knot in your stomach, don't you? Because if you sit it out and it flies, you'll kick yourself for years. And if you jump in and it drops, you kick yourself for longer. And either way, the headlines making the call and not you. And that's not your fault because the whole thing set up so the loud bit lands on you and the quiet bit belongs to them.
One of our members, Robert, wrote about the feeling sitting underneath all of this. In a Trust Pilot review he left without being asked, he says he used to be scared of making any call in crypto because he couldn't be 100% sure the information he had was any good. He says that's not a problem for him anymore and that he made back what the program cost him within a couple of months from gains. Robert's result isn't typical and nobody can promise you the same. The people in there come from every sort of background and what they get is a weekly call where they can put their questions to our research team and a coach of their own onetoone.
So am I telling you to buy XRP? Well, no. There may be better opportunities for your situation. But if your crypto is sitting there doing nothing while the big money does its buying in the quiet, you can put the crypto you already hold to work and keep it in full self-custody. Your keys and your wallet so it can't be flagged, frozen, or wiped out.
I've done well in crypto in my own right. And the thing that properly sped me up was the team we built at Altcoin Pro. And that's who you'd be talking to. Just click the first link in the description, watch the short video, press the button underneath it, fill in the short form, and book your free 15minute call. And on the call, one of the team goes through what you actually hold with you properly.
And if you're on your phone, just tap more under this video, and the link's right there at the top. It's for people holding $50,000 or more in crypto that's just sitting there. And if you're already well set up, they'll tell you that, too. And Swell opens on the 27th of October. So go get your call booked before then and have your plan written down before the first headline lands, not after it because they buy the choir and you get sold the noise and you don't have to keep being the one who finds out last.
