AVAX's 49% Rally: Securitize, BUIDL and What It Means for XRP
Why AVAX rose 49% in three days in September 2026, how Securitize links BlackRock's BUIDL fund to Ripple's RLUSD, and why adoption hasn't lifted the price.

Key takeaways
- Nearly all of AVAX's September 2026 rally came in three days, September 18 to 21, after one comment from an Intercontinental Exchange executive. The NYSE has not picked a blockchain for its 24/7 venue.
- BlackRock's BUIDL fund passed $900 million on Avalanche in July 2026 but was about $481 million by October 20, and Solana is now its largest network.
- About $760 million in assets issued through Securitize sit on Avalanche, close to half of the chain's real-world assets, so one company's decisions can move the chain's biggest number.
- The Ripple and Securitize exit from BUIDL runs through the RLUSD stablecoin, not XRP. A network being used does not mean its coin is being bought.
- The signals the video says to track are the NYSE naming its chains, Schwab switching on AVAX trading, BUIDL's Avalanche balance and how much Securitize keeps adding.
Avalanche’s AVAX token rose about 49% in three days in September 2026, from roughly $7.61 to $11.32. The move came after an executive at Intercontinental Exchange, the NYSE’s parent company, said Avalanche “checks a lot of those boxes for us.” The video argues that the real Wall Street money on Avalanche runs through one firm, Securitize, not BlackRock directly.
For XRP holders, the story matters for two reasons. Securitize also built a 24/7 exit from BlackRock’s BUIDL fund into Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin, so the same plumbing touches Ripple. And the video presents Avalanche as a network winning institutional business while its coin falls, a gap it says XRP holders will recognize.
Why did AVAX jump in September 2026?
According to the video, AVAX jumped because of one comment at the Avalanche Summit in New York. Many posts described a 50% climb over four weeks. The video says the chart shows nearly the whole move came between September 18 and 21, and that AVAX had been sitting around $6.30 in August.
The trigger was Michael Blaugrund, ICE’s Head of Strategic Initiatives, who said Avalanche “checks a lot of those boxes for us, so we’re very engaged with the team.” ICE (Intercontinental Exchange) is building a separate venue where tokenized stocks can trade around the clock. Ava Labs President Charley Cooper said the NYSE spent about a year testing Avalanche technology.
The catch is that ICE has not named a chain. The video says the venue is built to work with more than one. It compares the jump to house prices rising when people hear a train station might be built nearby, long before anything is approved or built.
The video says AVAX then slid from about $11.60 on October 7 to around $9.30 at the time of recording. It also says the coin remains about 93% below its 2021 peak of $145. Prices move quickly, so check a live source for the current figure.
Did BlackRock really move $900 million onto Avalanche?
BUIDL’s balance on Avalanche did pass $900 million, but that was in July, and much of it has since left. The video describes BlackRock’s BUIDL fund as a savings account for large investors turned into a token. The fund holds cash, US Treasury bills and repurchase agreements, and it earns interest. On July 12, 2026, its Avalanche balance doubled in a single week to more than $900 million.
By October 20, 2026, that balance was about $481 million. Avalanche is still the fund’s second-largest home, but Solana now holds the top spot at about $872 million.
The video says other Avalanche investment products have also had a rough year:
- VanEck’s AVAX fund, the first of its kind in the US, launched on the Nasdaq on January 26, 2026 and took in nothing on day one.
- AVAX One, a Nasdaq-listed company set up to stockpile the coin, bought about 9.4 million AVAX in November 2025 at an average of about $11.73 each. With AVAX under $10, that purchase is underwater. The company booked a $29.8 million unrealized loss on its digital assets in the second quarter.
Bart Smith, who the video says runs a company built to hold AVAX, said on stage that blockchain is where his conversations with heads of large financial firms stall. He compared it to trying to change a car tire while the car is moving.
Who controls the Wall Street money on Avalanche?
The video points to Securitize, the firm that tokenized BlackRock’s BUIDL fund when it launched in 2024. About $760 million in assets issued through Securitize sit on Avalanche. That is close to half of the chain’s total real-world assets (RWAs), meaning traditional assets like funds or bonds represented as tokens.
Two caveats apply. These are assets issued through Securitize, not money the firm holds itself. Outside data sources put the total between about $737 million and $804 million, and it includes tokenized shares of Securitize’s own stock. So not all of it is outside Wall Street money.
The video lays out the numbers:
| Metric | Figure cited in the video |
|---|---|
| Tokenized RWAs added to Avalanche, 30 days to September 29 | $266 million, more than BNB Chain and Robinhood’s chain combined |
| Assets issued through Securitize on Avalanche | About $760 million |
| Growth in Securitize’s Avalanche balance by mid-September | About 628% |
| BUIDL on Avalanche, July 12 vs October 20 | Over $900 million vs about $481 million |
In March 2026, the NYSE signed a memorandum of understanding, a non-binding agreement, with Securitize. The video describes this as naming Securitize the first digital transfer agent for the new venue. A transfer agent keeps the official record of who owns each share.
The video’s point is that the “Wall Street is moving in” story is largely one company going all in. That cuts both ways. If Securitize moves money elsewhere, the chain’s headline number could fall sharply. Securitize already runs BUIDL on Avalanche, Solana, Ethereum and other networks, and the video says the money follows whichever network suits each customer.
Why do banks and exchanges like Avalanche’s design?
According to the video, Avalanche lets a bank or exchange build its own chain with its own entry rules and still connect it to the public network. The video compares this to a gated estate on a main road. The residents control the gate but can drive straight onto the highway.
Bart Smith said this is what the institutions he speaks with keep asking for. They want to set their own compliance and KYC (know-your-customer) rules and apply their own reading of SEC and CFTC requirements. His summary: “people don’t want a chain, they want their chain.”
What does this mean for XRP and RLUSD?
The link to Ripple runs through RLUSD, not XRP. Since September 2025, a smart contract from Ripple and Securitize has let BUIDL holders swap their shares for RLUSD around the clock, including weekends. RLUSD doesn’t sit inside BlackRock’s fund, but it is one of the doors out of it. The company that built that door also accounts for close to half of Avalanche’s real-world assets.
That is a genuine connection between Ripple and Wall Street’s new plumbing. But as the video notes, the token doing the work is a stablecoin. For background, Bullrunners has covered how RLUSD differs from XRP and why a Ripple win isn’t automatically an XRP win.
Does institutional adoption push the AVAX price up?
Not automatically, according to the video. Investors holding BUIDL on Avalanche don’t need to stockpile AVAX; they pay small network fees. The video says the Avalanche Foundation acknowledged at its own summit that chains keep cutting fees to compete. In a clip shown in the video, a speaker called this good engineering but said it weakens “the primary value mechanism that a chain has.”
The video says supply adds pressure. It puts the supply at about 470 million AVAX out of a 720 million cap, with new coins still going to stakers. The Helicon upgrade, which went live in September, aims to cut AVAX inflation by about 0.5 to 1 percentage point a year. In the video’s view, that helps but does not change the underlying problem: more buyers are needed just to hold the price steady.
The video also runs a hypothetical. It puts XRP’s market value at about $84 billion and AVAX’s at about $4.1 billion. If Avalanche reached XRP’s size, that math lands around $190 per AVAX. The video presents this as the kind of thumbnail number built on the assumption that adoption must lift the coin, not as a forecast.
The video adds that over the last 12 months Avalanche drew in BUIDL, Securitize and the NYSE’s attention, while AVAX fell more than half. Bullrunners looked at the same pattern in why Avalanche adoption hasn’t lifted the coin.
The video’s framework for a coin like AVAX
The video closes with a planning approach for anyone weighing a chain like Avalanche. It starts from the idea that no single chain is likely to win everything. One Avalanche-focused executive quoted in the video said there won’t be “one winner take all.” The host says the plan is not financial advice. Bullrunners reports it here as the video’s view, not as a recommendation to buy or sell.
- The video suggests treating a chain like Avalanche as one position in a broader portfolio, never the whole bag.
- It suggests deciding in advance what share of a portfolio such a chain deserves, rather than deciding in the moment.
- For anyone who does buy, the host favors spreading purchases over time (dollar cost averaging) so one drop can’t do serious damage.
- It suggests setting an exit plan at the same time as an entry, so a sudden spike meets a decision already made.
- It recommends ignoring rumors and big price-target thumbnails until one of the real signals changes.
For more on whether spreading across many coins actually lowers risk, see Bullrunners’ test of altcoin diversification and correlation.
What to watch next
The video names four signals:
- The NYSE naming the blockchains for its 24/7 tokenized trading venue.
- Charles Schwab switching on AVAX trading for its clients, which Schwab says is coming in the months ahead.
- BlackRock’s BUIDL balance on Avalanche, either climbing back toward $900 million or sliding further from $481 million.
- How much Securitize keeps adding, since that one company moves the chain’s biggest number.
Figures in this article are as of October 20, 2026, per the video description, unless otherwise noted. The AVAX price has moved since then.
Frequently asked questions
Why did AVAX go up 49% in September 2026?
According to the video, nearly the whole move came between September 18 and 21, 2026, when AVAX went from about $7.61 to $11.32. It followed Michael Blaugrund of Intercontinental Exchange, the NYSE's parent company, saying Avalanche "checks a lot of those boxes for us." The NYSE has not chosen a chain for its tokenized trading venue.
Did BlackRock move $900 million onto Avalanche?
BlackRock's tokenized Treasury fund, BUIDL, passed $900 million on Avalanche on July 12, 2026. By October 20, 2026, the Avalanche balance was about $481 million. Solana, at about $872 million, had become the fund's biggest network.
What is Securitize and why does it matter for Avalanche?
Securitize is the firm that tokenized BlackRock's BUIDL fund when it launched in 2024. The video says about $760 million in assets issued through Securitize sit on Avalanche, close to half of the chain's real-world assets. The NYSE also signed a memorandum of understanding with Securitize in March 2026 covering digital transfer agent work for its new venue.
How is Ripple connected to Avalanche and BlackRock's fund?
Since September 2025, a Ripple and Securitize smart contract has let BUIDL holders swap their shares for Ripple's RLUSD stablecoin around the clock. The token doing the work in that exit is RLUSD, not XRP.
Does institutional adoption make the AVAX price go up?
Not automatically, according to the video. Institutions pay small network fees and don't need to hold much AVAX. The video says AVAX fell more than 50% over the past year even as these deals landed.

BlackRock, the biggest money manager on the planet, moved $900 million on to Avalanche. And a couple months later, AVAX ripped almost 50% in just 3 days. So, that sounds like the clearest Wall Street signal that you could ask for. Except that $900 is from July, and close to half of it has already walked back out. And it wasn't even what sparked the run.
That was one sentence from the company that owns the New York Stock Exchange. Now, AVAX is back around $9, and the money that really matters on Avalanche runs through one company almost nobody's talking about right now. It controls close to half of all the real-world money sitting on Avalanche, and it even built a 24/7 exit out of BlackRock's fund straight into Ripple's stablecoin. So, once you know who it is, you'll know if AVAX is something you should get into. Or if it's a coin where one company moving its money elsewhere could cut the whole story in half.

All right, bull runners, welcome back to the channel. So, to kick this video off, we've been teaching our top 2026 altcoin trading strategies, giving you our top altcoin picks inside of our private intelligence network. If you want access to that, the first link in the description below will explain exactly how. Now, a lot of the videos, you know, X posts and articles said Avalanche climbed 50% in 4 weeks, [music] but the chart shows something much sharper because nearly the whole move came between September 18th and the 21st, when AVAX went from about $7.60 to about $11.30. Back in August, it was sitting around $6.30, and most people had written it off.
And even after this pullback, it's still up about 25% from where it was in mid-September. Those 3 days landed right after the Avalanche summit in New York, where the International Exchange, which is the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange, told the crowd that Avalanche [music] checks a lot of those boxes for us. So, we're very engaged with the team. Now, ICE is building a separate venue where tokenized stocks can trade around the clock, and Ava Labs president said the New York Stock Exchange spent about a year testing Avalanche for it. And nobody ICE has named a chain yet, and the plan is built to work with more than one.
So, AVAX jumped the way house prices jump when somebody hears that a new train station might get built nearby. Long before the council has voted on anything or even built anything. And the BlackRock story has the same gap because the fund, which is called Build 'n Build, is basically a savings account for big investors turned into a token where their dollars sit in US government debt and earn interest. And on July 12th, its Avalanche balance doubled in a single week to over $900 million. And today, it's about $481 million.
So, Avalanche is still the second biggest home for that fund, but the top spot now belongs to Solana with about $872 million. And VanEck AVAX fund, the first of its kind in America, launched on the Nasdaq on January 26th and took in nothing on day one. AVAX One, which is a Nasdaq company set up to stockpile the coin, bought about 9.4 million AVAX last November at about $11.73 each. And with AVAX under $10, the whole purchase sits underwater in unrealized losses right now. So, the company already booked a $29.8 million paper loss on its coins in the second quarter, which tells you how rough this year was for anyone who bought early.
And the people calling [music] this a dead cat bounce have a real argument here because a rally built on one executive saying a chain checks boxes can unwind as fast as it started. Now, AVAX already slid from around $11.60 on October 7th to about $9.30 now. It may be lower when you're watching this video. It's still about 93% under the $145 peak it hit back in 2021. Even Bart Smith, who runs a company built to hold the coin, admitted on stage at the Avalanche summit that when he sits down with the bosses of big financial firms.
Blockchain is the part that stalls them in the conversation.
They they think about blockchain and [music] like their brain just goes blank. They just they don't know where to start. And part of the reason is is like they're thinking about it is like trying to change a car tire while the car is moving. Right? And they don't have the opportunity to stop the car and to take the tire off and change it.
So there's real worry because the price moved in 3 days on a comment while banks and exchanges take months just to sign paperwork. So it's fair to ask whether Avax ran far ahead of anything that's actually been delivered. But the same digging that my research team has done that found those cracks also found the reason that Wall Street keeps coming back to this chain. And it runs through one company most people watching Avax have never even heard of. And that company is Securitize.
It's the firm that turned [music] BlackRock's fund into a token when it launched back in 2024. In the 30 days to September 29th, Avalanche added 266 million dollars in tokenized real-world assets, which is more than BNB chain and Robinhood's chain combined. Securitize alone has about 760 million dollars on Avalanche, close to half of the chain's whole real-world asset total. So most of the Wall Street is moving in story is really one company going all in. And that money also showed up long before the price did because Securitize's balance on Avalanche grew about 628% by the middle of September and BlackRock's big jump landed back in July, 2 months before the price ever even woke up.
And back in March, the New York Stock Exchange named Securitize as the first digital transfer agent for its new venue, which means it would keep the official record of who owns every tokenized share traded over there. And the reason these firms like Avalanche is that a bank or an exchange can build its own private chain with its own rules on who gets in and still plug it into the public network. It's a lot like a gated estate basically built right on the main road where the residents control the gate but can still drive straight [music] onto the highway. And Bart Smith, who runs the Avalanche Treasury company, says that's exactly what the banks and exchanges he talked to keep asking for. On top of that,
it requires you to basically use somebody else's compliance, right? And [music] so, you know, Avalanche was designed for the flexibility for people to spin up their own L1 and for them to create their own you know, rules around compliance and KYC and and and what they view to be the way that they interpret these CFTC and SEC rules. So, I think the biggest chat takeaway from my conversations is people don't want a chain, they want their chain.
And in September of 2025, Ripple and Securitize switched on a smart contract that lets anyone holding BlackRock's Build-A-Block their shares for Ripple's stablecoin RUSD around the clock, weekends included. And RUSD doesn't sit inside BlackRock's fund, but it's one of the doors out of that fund. And the company that built that door is the same one holding close to half of Avalanche's real-world money. So, that's a real link between Ripple and Wall Street's new plumbing. But, notice the token doing the work in that exit is a stablecoin, not XRP.
And that same gap between the pipes and the coin shows up all over this story. So, the companies moving real money onto blockchains don't marry a chain. Securitize puts BlackRock's fund on Avalanche, Solana, Ethereum, and more. And the money follows whichever pipe works best for each customer. So, if you're still deciding whether Avalanche deserves a spot in your portfolio, the real question is whether the coin actually wins when the pipes do.
So, before we get into that, the kind of digging into who's really behind the money is exactly what my research team does every single day to identify things before a coin moves. It's how my team put Ondo on our altcoin pick sheet back in July 17th at around 37 cents, calling it the strongest chart that hardly flinched, more than 2 months before BlackRock's name got attached to it. And its September 20th high was up more than 60%. So, if you want to access to our top altcoin picks, I'll leave a link in the description below so you can see what those are for the rest of this bull run. Now, let's get back to Avalanche because if you look at XRP, it's worth around $84 billion right now and AVAX is about 4.1 billion.
So, what if Avalanche ever got that big? Well, the math lands somewhere around $190 per coin. And that's exactly the kind of number that ends up in a thumbnail and it sits on a belief almost everybody in crypto has carried at some point that when big institutions use a network, its coin has to go up. Now, it's a completely fair thing to believe because, you know, the whole adoption story was built on it. And for years, nobody on your feed really said otherwise.
But the investors holding BlackRock's fund on Avalanche don't need to stockpile AVAX to use it. They pay tiny network fees and the Avalanche Foundation admitted on stage at its own summit that chains keep cutting those fees to compete, which eats into the main way that a coin captures value. So, it's a race to the bottom. They're just going lower and lower and lower in fees and then the fees don't affect the price on the open market.
And so, in that really competitive market, you have to think of how can I be better? And how can you be better is by being cheaper and faster. And so, these dynamics that are self-enforcing and are actually a good thing because it means that the engineering team is working really well in making sure that the chain is able to scale. It's just weakening the value mechanism, the primary value mechanism that a chain has.
You see, Avalanche spent the last 12 months pulling in BlackRock's fund securitized and the attention of the New York Stock Exchange and AVAX still fell more than half over the same year. And there's also about 470 million AVAX in existence today out of a cap of 720 million and new coins keep going out to anyone staking it. And the Helicon upgrade in September is meant to slow that by around half a point to a full point a year, which helps, but it doesn't change the basic math of a coin that more people have to keep buying just to hold its price. So, anyone who's been in crypto for a few years has seen this before because plenty of projects have signed deal after deal without the price moving alongside those deals. And then there's a lot of fear or fud channels out there calling Avalanche finished.
And they get it all wrong because the money really did arrive. It just arrived through the pipes instead of through the coin. So a network can win big and its coin can still go sideways for years. So the safer play is owning enough of the right roads that you're covered whichever one the money takes. So if betting on a single winner is the trap here, what does playing a chain like Avalanche actually look like with a plan behind it?
And is the bull run just getting started or is this already priced in on Avalanche's chart? Well, the money arrived early and the price is still 93% below its high. But the thing that sparked the move is the decision the New York Stock Exchange hasn't even made yet. So that's exactly why the people who handle a coin like this well never bet on one answer coming true. And to be fair to Avalanche here, there's a lot here that most chains would love to have.
The New York Stock Exchange spent about a year testing it and the firm that tokenized BlackRock's fund already has about 760 million dollars parked on it months before the price even noticed. And the next door could open soon because Charles Schwab says Avalanche trading is coming to its clients in the coming months, which puts the coin right inside the brokerage account a whole new crowd of everyday investors already use. So when they start coming back into the crypto market, they're going to buy the coins better in the brokerage account. And this run came from one sentence at a conference. And institutional stories move at institutional speed.
So in this part of the cycle, Avalanche fits as just one position in a bigger portfolio. It's never your whole bag. And you already know the wealthiest investors spread their money across more than one bet. And what actually stops everyone else is that they never decide how much in advance to diversify across different chains. So if you're thinking about getting in Avalanche, [music] this is not financial advice, but just decide what share of your portfolio a chain like this deserves while it's quiet and while it's boring and while the price is going down.
Then the smartest investors, what they do is they simply just buy in slowly. They dollar cost average just enough during a pullback so that way a pullback like this one doesn't completely destroy their whole portfolio. And then they decide they exit just as early as their entry point. Because if the New York Stock Exchange news ever lands in AVAX [music] prints another huge candle like September's, will the people who plan to take some profit into that will have locked something in. Well, the people who didn't will be standing there hoping that it keeps going or buying the top.
And after that, the signals that matter are the New York Stock Exchange naming the chains for its new venue. Schwab actually switching on AVAX trading, BlackRock's fund on Avalanche climbing back towards $900 million or sliding further from $481 million, and how much Securitize keeps adding because that one company moves the chain's biggest number. Anything else from a rumor or social media to a thumbnail with a giant price target on it is just noise until one of those things actually changes. Even the people betting their companies on Avalanche say this race won't have a single winner.
There's not going to be one winner take all, right? There's going to be a lot of different variations.
So, it just simply all comes down to [music] whether you're set up to come out fine whatever chain ends up winning. And almost nobody shows regular investors how to do that. For example, Avalanche got a 49% move off one sentence from an exchange executive, and the money behind that story showed up months before the price ever did. So, spotting that kind of setup early is exactly what my research team does every single day. For example, back in January of 2025, my team flagged Hyperliquid at around 26 bucks, and Hype is sitting around $79 today.
It went to 90 bucks. And on September 27th, I posted HBAR to our team at about 9.6 cents the night before its 30% rally. And our members have been putting that research to work like Albert, who's up over $6,500 on his NEAR position. And one member told us she was full of fear before she joined, and a month later she was holding a coin that had gone up 300%. Now, these results are obviously not typical, so don't be typical.
You know crypto carries risk, and this is just a YouTube video, so do your own research. I'm not a financial advisor. I'm by no means making any guarantees that you're going to make any money when you click the link below, you watch the video, and you schedule a call with an expert on my team. Our goal is just to point you in the right direction so you don't get wrecked, you don't get rug pulled, you don't put too much into one coin, and you actually have a proper strategy that works regardless of market conditions. Because if the New York Stock Exchange does name its chains, and let's say Avalanche makes the list, well that move could come fast, and you want your plan in place before the candle prints, not after.
But in order to know if that's going to happen, and you have a kid, multiple kids, you got a family, you got a full-time job, you just don't have the time to watch these markets 24/7. I don't even have the time, and I'm in crypto 24/7. So I got a full research team that watches the markets with me and feeds me information that I haven't even spotted yet. Because you can run fast alone, but you can run fast and further with a team. So if you want our altcoin picks early, if you want our research early, if you want our diversification strategy, our longs, our shorts, our technical analysis training every single week, along with a one-on-one coach to work with you, click the link below, watch that video, fill out the form, and book a strategy call with my team.
I appreciate you for watching this video. I will see you on the next one. I will see you at the top. As always, you know what to do. Stay bullish.
