$1,000 XRP: What It Would Take and the One Test for Any Target

$1,000 XRP means about $63 trillion held in XRP. How that compares with gold, US stocks and Bitcoin, what Standard Chartered forecasts, and one test to run.

Video: $1,000 XRP: What It Would Take and the One Test for Any Target

Key takeaways

  • Multiply the coin count by the promised price: 63.35 billion XRP at $1,000 is about $63 trillion that someone has to hold.
  • On the video's figures, $63 trillion is more than twice the value of all gold ever mined and about 84% of the entire US stock market.
  • By the video's math, moving all $9.6 trillion of daily currency trading through XRP at 5 seconds per trip would need only about $556 million of XRP in use.
  • The '$27 trillion in nostro accounts' figure comes from a letter posted on the SEC's website, not from the SEC itself, and a pro-XRP channel quoted in the video says there is no audited global total.
  • According to the video, Standard Chartered is the only big bank publishing an XRP target. It cut its end-2026 number to $2.80, kept $28 by 2030 and said it expected further declines near-term.

A $1,000 XRP price would require about $63 trillion of value held in XRP, because CoinGecko counted 63,351,197,653 XRP on October 25, 2026. A Bullrunners video hosted by Ryan Huggins compares that figure with gold, the US money supply, US stocks and Bitcoin, and argues that none of the usual cases for $1,000 explains who would hold that much.

For holders, the point is not whether XRP goes up or down. Many viral price targets skip a single multiplication: coins times price. Once you run it, you can tell the difference between a forecast with reasoning behind it and a number on a thumbnail.

What are the big XRP price claims?

The video plays several well-known targets in the speakers’ own words before checking them:

  • $10,000 at scale. A caller named Jared claimed that David Schwartz and Arthur Britto, who helped build the XRP Ledger, said XRP needed to be at least $10,000 to work efficiently at scale.
  • $500 to $1,000. Paul Barron suggested prices could reach that range once buyers clear the available supply on exchanges.
  • The $32 sell wall. In August 2026, a commentator pointed to sell orders on Coinbase stacked up to $32, and on Binance up to $15, as a sign that big money knows something.
  • $750 by New Year’s Eve. On August 29, 2026, one speaker said he expected to win a bet that XRP would be above $750 by the end of the year.
  • $100 by end of 2025. Jake Claver made this call. According to the video, XRP ended 2025 at about $1.87, and Claver later said the timeline was longer than he thought.

The host grants that the sell-wall argument is not a foolish one, since someone did place real orders at $32. But a dated prediction can be graded, and so can the number itself. For a look at even larger targets, see Bullrunners’ check of whether XRP can reach $10,000.

How does $63 trillion compare with gold, stocks and Bitcoin?

On the video’s figures, $63 trillion is larger than every comparison it uses except the US stock market. All figures below come from the video, which draws on the sources listed at the end.

Comparison Value (per the video) $1,000 XRP equals
All gold ever mined (about 222,600 tonnes at $3,987/oz, Oct 25, 2026) About $28.5 trillion More than 2x
US M2 money supply (Federal Reserve data, Aug 2026) $23.34 trillion Almost 3x
Entire US stock market (June 30, 2026) $75.28 trillion About 84%
Bitcoin (Oct 25, 2026) About $1.61 trillion About 39x

The video describes the $23.34 trillion as every dollar in US checking, savings and money market accounts. The Fed series it cites is the M2 money supply, which also counts cash in circulation and small time deposits.

The host stresses that $63 trillion is not just a price. It is the amount of value somebody would have to be holding in XRP for that price to stand. According to the host, the coin count only goes up, so the bar does not get lower.

Where would $63 trillion come from?

The video looks at three answers believers give: a Japan carry trade unwind, money freed from bank nostro accounts, and bridge use in payments. It argues that none of them supplies $63 trillion. The bridge answer gets its own section below.

The Japan theory holds that when Japan’s cheap borrowing unwinds, markets crash and the money rotates into XRP. The video’s reply is that a broad sell-off shrinks the total pool of money rather than creating new money. A crash does not hand $63 trillion to a single coin.

The nostro claim is the one most holders have heard. Nostro accounts are accounts banks keep in other countries so they can make payments there. The popular version says $27 trillion sits in them worldwide, $5 trillion of it in the US, and that XRP could replace 30%.

The video traces the number to a written submission sent to the SEC’s Crypto Task Force on March 12, 2025. The SEC posts letters it receives, and it did not write this one. The video adds that the SEC did not check it either. Even a pro-XRP channel quoted in the video says there is no single audited global total.

A person who sets up these accounts for a living adds that an estimated 60% to 75% of nostro accounts are not funded at all. In the video’s description, they work more like mailboxes: money arrives and is forwarded on, and little sits there.

Why doesn’t bridge use require a high XRP price?

According to the video, bridge use needs little XRP value because each coin is held for only seconds. In a cross-border payment, dollars convert to XRP, the XRP settles on the XRP Ledger in about 3 to 5 seconds, and then it converts into the destination currency. A clip in the video notes that the bank or payment company does not need to hold XRP on its balance sheet for months or carry its price risk for long.

The video runs the math in the generous direction:

  1. The Bank for International Settlements (the central banks’ bank) counted $9.6 trillion of currency trading per day in April 2025.
  2. Assume every dollar of it went through XRP, which the video stresses is nothing like reality.
  3. At 5 seconds per trip, one unit of XRP can make 17,280 trips a day.
  4. $9.6 trillion divided by 17,280 is about $556 million of XRP in use at any moment.

At the October 25 price of $1.29, XRP’s total value was already about $82 billion, enough to do that job many times over. The host compares XRP to a rental truck: a moving company carries billions of dollars of furniture in trucks worth a small fraction of the cargo. In the video’s words, the faster the coin moves, the less of it the job needs. The same reasoning sits behind the question of why XRP holders aren’t paid by Ripple’s wins.

The video also cites David Schwartz making the point from the other side. If there were even a 1% chance of XRP reaching $10,000, wealthy buyers would already have pushed it to at least $20. According to the video, XRP was under $2.50 in May 2026.

With those three answers set aside, the video says only one thing would get XRP to $1,000. People would have to choose to hold $63 trillion of XRP and not sell it, the way they hold gold, houses or major stocks. That is a different claim from “banks will use XRP.” The host warns that holding on the first claim when the second is the one that matters means waiting on a switch that is not wired to the price. The video mentions one remaining hope, that extreme global inflation lifts XRP. It then questions whether that would be a good scenario at all.

What does Standard Chartered forecast for XRP?

According to the video, Standard Chartered is the only big bank that publishes an XRP price target. On February 16, 2026, the bank cut its end-of-2026 target from $8 to $2.80 and wrote that it expected further declines near-term. It kept its long-term figure of $28 by 2030, laying out a staircase: $2.80 for 2026, $7 for 2027 and $28 by 2030.

The video puts that in perspective. $28 is about 22 times the October price of $1.29. Even that would require about $1.8 trillion held in XRP, more than all of Bitcoin was worth on October 25, 2026.

At Davos on January 21, 2026, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse was asked for an XRP number and declined to give one. The video says he called himself very bullish and left it there. Decrypt reported that he did forecast new all-time highs for the crypto market in 2026.

The video adds one more detail. It says the bank deals Ripple signed in October 2026 ran on Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin, not on XRP, with about $2.47 billion of RLUSD in circulation on October 25. Bullrunners looked at that in RLUSD inside Cross River Bank.

The CoinGecko test for any XRP price prediction

The video closes with a check anyone can run in a few minutes:

  1. Open CoinGecko and read the current XRP supply.
  2. Multiply it by the price someone has just promised.
  3. Ask who would be holding that much value in XRP.
  4. Ask why they would never sell it.

The host argues that a prediction that does not answer steps 3 and 4 is not a prediction. It is just a number.

What to watch next

The first dated checkpoint is December 31, 2026. That is when Standard Chartered’s end-of-2026 target of $2.80 can be measured, along with the $750 New Year’s Eve bet. The video is clear that none of this settles where XRP goes. It says XRP could land at $5 or $28, and that the bank itself expects declines first. When the next target appears, check the supply on CoinGecko, run the multiplication, and look for an answer to who would hold that much.

Frequently asked questions

Can XRP reach $1,000?

The video does not say where XRP will go. It shows that $1,000 XRP would mean about $63 trillion held in XRP, based on CoinGecko's count of 63,351,197,653 coins on October 25, 2026. On the video's figures, that is more than twice all gold ever mined and about 39 times Bitcoin's value on the same date.

What is Standard Chartered's XRP price prediction?

On February 16, 2026, Standard Chartered cut its end-2026 XRP target from $8 to $2.80 and said it expected further declines near-term. It kept its long-term target of $28 by 2030, with $7 for 2027 as a step in between.

Where does the $27 trillion nostro account claim come from?

According to the video, it traces back to a written submission sent to the SEC's Crypto Task Force on March 12, 2025, which the SEC posted on its website. The SEC did not write the letter, the video says the SEC did not check it either, and a pro-XRP channel quoted in the video says there is no single audited global total.

Does bank use of XRP require a high price?

Not according to the video's math. If XRP is held for about 5 seconds per payment, all $9.6 trillion of daily currency trading counted by the BIS would need only about $556 million of XRP in use at any moment.

How can I check any XRP price prediction myself?

The video suggests opening CoinGecko, reading the current XRP supply and multiplying it by the promised price. Then ask who would be holding that much value in XRP and why they would never sell it.

From the video's captions, lightly formatted. Captions can mishear names and numbers, so check figures against the article above.

The 2026 number went from $8 to $2.80. That's a 65% cut.

That's the only big bank on Earth that puts its name on an XRP price. On February 16th, 2026, it cuts its number for this year from $8 to $2.80, a 65% cut. In one note, 6 months later, this.

I think I'm going to win my bet with scams. I think XRP will be higher than 750 bucks on the day that

you're you're talking about.

$750 by New Year's Eve. Between $2.80 and $750, there's one multiplication. The bank did it. The $750 video didn't. Neither did the 1,000 videos.

Nor did the $10,000 ones. 63 billion XRP, that's the number they skipped. If you've held this coin through the $100 call, the $32 wall, the $750 bet, you don't want another lecture. You want one of those numbers to be right. I held through most of them, too.

So, here's the question this video answers. What has to be true for $1,000 XRP? And who has actually signed their name to it? By the end of this video, you'll have the answer on one page, and you'll be able to run it yourself on the next number somebody hands you. So, if you're feeling bullish, like this video and smash that subscribe button.

And before the math, the case for the big number from the people that you've heard it from?

I want you to keep in mind before Ripple was ever meeting with the White House 10 years ago when David Schwartz and Arthur Britto were talking about this technology that they had developed, they used the figure of $10,000 when they said when it goes to scale, it needs to be a minimum of $10,000 or it doesn't work efficiently.

A caller named Jared says the men who built the ledger said it needs to be $10,000 at scale and that the big money wants you out before then.

The amount of supply that will be available will be the amount that people are willing to sell and at that point it could be 50, 100, it could be 500, could be 1,000, it could really start to get out of hand.

Paul Barron says 500, maybe 1,000 once buyers clear the exchanges.

Look at this, Binance whales had formed a sell wall for XRP up to $15, their sell wall still exists, however, Coinbase whales formed a sell wall up to $32 this month.

And in August of 2026, digital asset investor pointed at sell orders on Coinbase stacked all the way up to $32. The idea is that the big money knows something. That's the case and it's not a stupid one. Somebody with a lot of money did put orders at $32. But a prediction with a date on it can be graded.

Jake Klaver said $100 by the end of 2025. XRP ended 2025 at about $1.87. So he said the timeline was longer than he thought. And you're probably thinking, "Fine, people get dates wrong and that doesn't make the number wrong." And that's fair, too. So let's grade the number.

Here's the page. There are about 63 billion XRP in existence on October 25th, 2026, CoinGecko counted 63 billion 351 million 197,653 of them. That count only goes up. 63 billion XRP at $1,000 each is $63 trillion. That's not a price, that's how much XRP somebody has to be holding at that price for the price to be the price.

All of the gold ever dug out of the ground, every ring, every bar, every coin is about 222,600 tons of gold at $3,987 an ounce. The gold price on October 25th, 2026, that's about $28.5 trillion. So, $1,000 XRP is more than twice all of the gold on Earth. And you're probably thinking, "Well, gold's old money. Compare it to real money." Every dollar in every checking account, savings account, money market fund in America was $23.34 trillion in August of 2026.

And that's the Fed's own count. So, $1,000 XRP is almost three of those. Every stock listed in America, Apple, Nvidia, Walmart, all of it, added up, it's $75.28 trillion on June 30th of 2026. So, $1,000 XRP is about 84% of the whole value of the American stock market. And Bitcoin, the biggest coin there is, after 17 years, was about $1.61 trillion October 25th.

So, $1,000 XRP is 39 of those. That multiplication, coins times price, is the first thing we run with people inside of SGS system at Altcoin Pro on whatever they already hold. And the link is down below if you want to run your numbers with us instead of all by yourself and alone. And the only bank forecast on this coin puts its first checkpoint at December 31st, 2026. So, sooner beats later.

So, click that link immediately and book your call right away. So, if you hold this coin, that's the pile your $1,000 needs somebody to be sitting on. The believers know that, and they have three answers for where it comes from. The first answer is the Japan story.

In the reverse carry trade theory, there's a massive correction across all capital markets. That includes Bitcoin, that includes the housing market, that includes the S&P 500.

Bitcoin would have to get to $50 million, something crazy, in order to be able to offset those debts.

When Japan's cheap money unwinds, everything sells off. The big money needs somewhere to go, and it rotates into XRP. But, where does $63 trillion come from in a sell-off? When everything is being sold, there's less money, not more. A crash shrinks the pile.

It doesn't hand $63 trillion to one coin. So, that's one answer down. The second one is the one that you've heard the most. Banks keep piles of money sitting in accounts overseas, so they can pay people in other countries. $27 trillion of it, the video say. XRP replaces those piles.

So, XRP has to be worth trillions. Where did the $27 trillion come from? A five-page letter somebody sent to the SEC on March 12th, 2025. The SEC posts every letter it gets. Coverage of the letter says $27 trillion sits in those accounts worldwide.

Five trillion of it in America, and that XRP could replace 30% of it. See where it says written submission? That's a letter to the government. The SEC didn't write it. The SEC didn't check it.

have heard claims that exactly 10 trillion or even 27 trillion dollars is sitting dormant in nostro vostro accounts. The honest answer is there is no single audited global total.

Even an XRP channel that wants this to be true almost more than anybody says there is no audited total. Nobody has counted it.

It's estimated between 60 and 75% of all the nostro accounts that are out there are not funded. You can't kill a nostro. I mean, it's it's a channel in. You're making the assumption without providing proof that all these nostros are somehow have to be funded. They don't have to be funded.

And a man who sets these accounts up for a living says most of them aren't even funded. They're mailboxes. Money comes in, gets forwarded on, and nothing sits there. So, the $27 trillion isn't a count, it's a number from a letter about accounts that are mostly empty. You're probably thinking, "Okay, but even if it's $5 trillion, that's still huge for XRP." And it is, but the third answer, the bridge, has a problem the first two don't.

It works against the price. And by the way, I'm not making this video saying XRP's going to zero, but let's set realistic expectations to the market. So, say the banks really did move trillions through XRP. Well, here's what happens to one payment.

The bank or payment company does not necessarily need to hold the XRP on its balance sheet for months or expose itself to its price movements for long periods. XRP can be acquired, transferred, and sold during the payment process. The XRP ledger normally reaches settlements in around 3 to 5 seconds.

Dollars go in, and then they turn into XRP. The XRP crosses ledger in 3 to 5 seconds, and then it turns into pesos on the other side, and the transaction's done. The bank never owns the XRP, it holds it for 5 seconds. So, here's the multiplication the other way. The Bank for International Settlements, the central bank's own bank, counted $9.6 trillion of currency changing hands every day in April 2025.

So, say every single dollar of that went through XRP, which is nothing like what's happening. If each coin is held for 5 seconds, a coin can make a trip 17,280 times per day. So, $9.6 trillion divided by 17,280 trips is about $556 million of XRP in use at any moment. $556 million, not $63 trillion. And that's with every currency trade on Earth going through it. There was $82 billion of XRP already at the October 25 price.

The bridge job could be done 100 times over with the coins that exist. Why doesn't the coin have to be worth the money it moves. Because it's a rental truck. U-Haul moves billions of dollars of furniture a year with trucks that are worth all together a tiny fraction of what's riding in them. The truck is used for an afternoon and it goes back to the lot.

It never has to be worth the house. So the bridge argument doesn't get you to a thousand dollars. The faster the coin moves, the fewer dollars of it the job needs. The believers best answer is the one that needs the lowest price.

He stipulated that if there was a 1% chance of it going to a high price, then wealthy people would push it to at least $20.

And the man who helped build the ledger says it from the other side. If there were even 1% chance of $10,000 a token, rich people would have already bid XRP to $20. In May of 2026, it was under 250. Now there is still some hope that is alive even doing the the arithmetic here or math. And that hope is that inflation gets so bad in the world that the price of XRP would have to go up and we were in early so we benefit from the inflation of the entire world potentially going into an Armageddon situation.

So I don't know if that's actually a positive scenario when you really think deeply about it. So a crash doesn't do it. The trillions aren't there and the bridge needs almost nothing and that leaves one thing. Only one thing gets a coin to $63 trillion. People choosing to hold $63 trillion of it and not sell.

Not use it for 5 seconds, hold it the way people hold gold or houses or Apple stock. That's a different claim from banks will use it. And here's what it costs you. If you hold XRP on the first claim while the second one is the real one, you're waiting on a switch that isn't wired to the price. Every year of waiting is a year your money sat on a promise that nobody signed.

So who has signed one?

They didn't touch the long-term number. $28 by 2030 stayed exactly where it was. So, the bank isn't saying XRP goes to $28 in one shot. It's laying out a staircase.

Back in February 16th, 2026, Standard Chartered is the only big bank that publishes an XRP price. That day, it cut its end of 2026 number from $8 to $2.80. Their analyst wrote, "We expect further declines next term." Their long number is $28 by 2030. A staircase. $2.80 this year, $7 next year, $28 by 2030. $28 would be about 22 times the October price of $1.29. Even that needs about $1.8 trillion parked in XRP, more than all of Bitcoin was worth on October 25th, 2026.

And Ripple's own CEO asked for an XRP number at Davos on January 21st, 2026, wouldn't give one. He said he's very bullish and left it there. The man selling the coin won't name a price. The bank that models it says $2.80 this year, and its first checkpoint is December 31st, 2026. One more thing, the bank deals Ripple signed in October of 2026 ran on RLUSD, its dollar coin, which was about $2.47 billion on October 25th, not on XRP.

And I covered that in the Cross River video, if you guys watched that one. So, let's go back to where we started the video, February 16th, a bank cuts to $2.80. August 29th, a man bets on $750 by New Year's Eve.

I think I'm going to win my bet with Scams. I think XRP will be higher than 750 bucks on the day that you're you're talking about.

Hear it again with the page in your hand. He's not predicting the banks use XRP. Banks using XRP need almost no price at all. He's predicting that the world decides to store more wealth in XRP than it stores in all of the gold ever mined, twice as much, by New Year's Eve. So, say that out loud and see if it still sounds like a sure thing.

None of this settles where XRP goes. It could be $5, it could be $28, and the bank's own note says it expects more declines first. What it settles is what the number on the thumbnail is really claiming. So, here's the test for you to run yourself in any month. Open coingecko.com, read the coin count, multiply it by whatever price somebody just promised you.

And then ask who is holding that much and why they'd never sell it. If the video doesn't tell you who's holding that much and why they'd never sell it, it isn't a prediction, it's a number. So, tell me in the comments section the first XRP price target that you ever heard and the year that it's supposed to be there. Just the number and the year. That's the number that every prediction skips.

63 billion coins times whatever is on the thumbnail. One multiplication, four public pages, and almost nobody does it before they buy. What I'd actually do with that page is decide right now what I do at $3, at $28, and at $1,000. While none of them are here yet, that's the work we sit down and do with our clients inside of the SGS system at on the coins they already have. It's built for folks holding $50,000 or more who've never had anyone map out where it all actually lives.

If that's not you, then keep on watching these videos, they're free, and we're not going to stop making them.
