Can XRP Reach $10,000? The Market Cap Math and Schwartz's Riddle
Jake Claver says XRP could hit $10,000. Here is the market cap math, David Schwartz's 1% riddle, and a 4-question test for any XRP price prediction.

Key takeaways
- At the roughly 63 billion XRP in circulation that CCN cites, $10,000 per coin implies a market cap of about $630 trillion. That is more than global personal wealth, which the video puts at about $530 trillion and UBS's own reports put at roughly $520 trillion.
- The bank and fund forecasts cited in the video top out near $30 per XRP by 2030. The boldest calls start at $10,000, a gap of more than 300 times.
- David Schwartz's riddle asks why, if rich and rational buyers saw even a 1% chance of $10,000, they have not bid XRP up to at least $20 today.
- Before acting on any price prediction, ask who said it and when, what has to be true, whether the math fits the real world, and what your plan does if it is right or wrong.
- The video suggests writing down your plan for a doubling, a 10x rise and a halving before the price moves, not during the move.
A $10,000 XRP price would mean a market cap of about $630 trillion, using the roughly 63 billion XRP in circulation that CCN cites from CoinGecko. Jake Claver of Digital Ascension Group has said XRP could get there by late 2026 or early 2027. A Bullrunners video tests that claim with simple math.
The question matters because big price targets shape how holders plan. XRP traded at about $1.34 on October 16, according to the video. A plan that depends on one number being reached leaves a holder exposed if that number never comes. The video focuses less on whether $10,000 happens and more on how to judge any prediction and plan for every outcome.
Who predicted $10,000 XRP, and what do banks forecast?
The best-known $10,000 call comes from Jake Claver, managing director of Digital Ascension Group. He said XRP could reach that level by the end of 2026 or early 2027. According to a CCN report cited in the video, he was asked on a livestream this month whether he still believed it. He answered, “I still think that.”
The video puts a name and a date next to every large call, because “a price prediction without a name and a date is just a rumor”:
- $10,000 to $50,000: Mitchell Lionheart, an X user, shared a graphic last November. It put XRP in this range once banks and payment systems run on it.
- $10,000: the X account Ripple Bullwinkle revived the idea last month, according to the video. CCN reports that his argument is about supply rather than price. If holders refuse to sell, banks would compete for a much smaller pool of coins.
- Over $1,000: Dom Kwok, whom the video describes as a former Goldman Sachs analyst and co-founder of EasyA, said, “I think it could go over $1,000 in the next 4 to 5 years.”
- $27 by the end of October: Crypto Bull, an analyst the video says has close to a million followers on X, posted a chart on August 6 pointing to $27 by the end of this month.
Bank and fund forecasts are far lower. The video describes Standard Chartered’s Geoff Kendrick as one of the few big-bank analysts who put numbers on XRP. According to 24/7 Wall Street, his team cut its end-2026 target from $8 to $2.80 in February. It raised its 2028 target to $12.60 and kept $28 for 2030. Bitwise published a model whose best case, which it calls the “max case,” reaches about $29 by 2030.
| Source | Target | Timeframe |
|---|---|---|
| Standard Chartered | $2.80 | End of 2026 |
| Standard Chartered | $12.60 | 2028 |
| Standard Chartered | $28 | 2030 |
| Bitwise (max case) | About $29 | 2030 |
| Crypto Bull (X) | $27 | End of October 2026 |
| Jake Claver | $10,000 | Late 2026 to early 2027 |
The institutional forecasts top out around $30. The boldest calls start at $10,000, more than 300 times higher. As the video puts it, somebody is very wrong. Every number here is a forecast by its author, not a fact, and Bullrunners does not endorse any of them.
Does the market cap math work for $10,000 XRP?
On the video’s math, $10,000 XRP would be worth more than all the personal wealth on Earth. Market cap is price multiplied by circulating supply. CCN points out that CoinGecko counts roughly 63 billion XRP in circulation. At $10,000 per coin, that gives about $630 trillion.
The video compares this with UBS data on global wealth. It says the 2025 figures work out to around $530 trillion, covering every house, stock, bank account and business. That number is the video’s estimate, not a published UBS figure. UBS’s 2025 report put global wealth at about $470.5 trillion at the end of 2024. Its 2026 report says wealth grew 10.8% in 2025, which works out to roughly $520 trillion. UBS covers 56 markets, about 92% of world wealth. Either way, $630 trillion is larger.
ChartNerd, an analyst named in the video, disputed the $10,000 to $50,000 graphic. He wrote that XRP is not headed to those levels “and such a price target is not realistic.” He put his own range at $13 to $27 this cycle, and only with strong ETF inflows. Bullrunners ran similar numbers when it looked at whether XRP can reach $1,000.
The bulls make three counterarguments, and the video gives them a fair hearing:
- Market cap isn’t a pile of cash. It is the last traded price times the number of coins. If one coin trades higher, every coin is revalued, even if little new money came in.
- Price is set at the margin. If most holders never sell, buyers compete only for the coins that are actually for sale.
- Utility. A higher XRP price would let a bank move more value with fewer coins.
The video says nobody really disputes that $10,000 is a big number. The real debate is whether those three forces could ever line up at scale.
What is David Schwartz’s riddle?
David Schwartz’s riddle asks why XRP’s price today doesn’t reflect even a small chance of $10,000. Schwartz is a former Ripple CTO and one of the original architects of the XRP Ledger. In May he posted: “If there were a few very rich, very rational people who really believed that there was a 1% chance that XRP could hit $10K in 10 years, they’d bid XRP up to at least $20 today. Why aren’t they?”
The logic is expected value, meaning the average payoff once the odds are taken into account. A 1-in-100 chance at $10,000 is worth about $100 on average. A careful buyer would pay less than that because of the 10-year wait and the risk. Schwartz said at least $20. XRP sits around $1.34.
The video sees three possible answers:
- Rich, rational buyers don’t believe there is even a 1% chance.
- They believe it but can’t buy enough without moving the price. This is the supply argument.
- They are buying slowly, for example through over-the-counter deals, and it hasn’t shown up yet.
Whichever answer is right, the video argues that today’s price is the market’s vote on the odds. Running Schwartz’s math backward from $1.34 suggests the market treats $10,000 as far less likely than 1 in 100. Markets can miss big things. But in the video’s view, a plan built on that single number is a bet the largest buyers are not yet making.
How did October’s news test the $10,000 case?
The video says the big predictions rest on three things: a fixed supply, clear US rules and large money arriving. All three were tested in recent weeks.
- Supply. On October 9 it was disclosed that the XRP Ledger had a bug that could have created about 18.45 trillion XRP. The maximum supply is 100 billion. Versions 3.4.0 and earlier carried the bug, and the fix arrived in xrpld 3.4.1, released September 25. There is no evidence anyone used it. Bullrunners covered how the 18 trillion XRP bug happened.
- Rules. Many bull cases, including Standard Chartered’s, lean on the Clarity Act passing. On September 15, a Senate vote to move the bill forward failed 49 to 50, short of the 60 needed. The video cites CNBC’s report of the vote. It calls the bill stalled but not dead, with the midterm elections on November 3. See what the 49-50 vote means for the bill.
- Big money. US spot XRP ETFs, exchange-traded funds that hold XRP directly, have taken in about $1.8 billion since launch. They held about $1.47 billion in assets as of October 16, per SoSoValue data. The video notes that this is under 2% of XRP’s market cap. Evernorth, which holds about 473 million XRP, began trading on Nasdaq as XRPN this month. On October 14 it named Ripple, Kraken, Coinbase and BitGo as partners to put that XRP to work. Bullrunners has explained how the Evernorth XRP treasury company works. The video points out that 473 million coins is less than 1% of supply.
Forecasts also miss on timing. According to 24/7 Wall Street, Standard Chartered cut its 2026 target by 65% after XRP fell to about $1.16 in February. XRP reached about $3.65 in July 2025, and the video says it is still under $1.40.
What does one position look like across forecasts?
The video uses a $50,000 XRP position to show how one holding lands in different scenarios. At $1.34, that is about 37,000 coins:
| Scenario | Approximate value |
|---|---|
| Bitwise bear case | Under $5,000 |
| Standard Chartered end-2026 ($2.80) | About $104,000 |
| Standard Chartered 2030 ($28) | Around $1 million |
| $10,000 per XRP | Left blank on purpose |
The same coins sit in every row. The video’s point is that a plan has to work in all of them, not just the one a holder hopes for. Its framework is to decide in advance what you would do if XRP doubles, rises 10 times or halves again. It also suggests writing down where your coins are held, how much sits on one exchange, and how you would respond at each price level. The video says to do this before the move, not during it.
A 4-question test for any price prediction
The video offers a simple system to use on any big number, including its own:
- Who said it, and when? A name, a date, a link. Without them, it is a rumor.
- What has to be true for it to happen? Write down the two or three conditions.
- Does the math fit the real world? Multiply the price by the supply and compare the result to something real.
- What does my plan do if the prediction is wrong, and if it is right?
If you can answer all four, the video argues, you are no longer just holding and hoping.
What to watch next
The video lists three things that would make it rethink its skepticism:
- Real banks holding XRP on their balance sheets and settling in size in public, visible as XRP volume on the XRP Ledger rather than as partnerships with Ripple the company.
- The Clarity Act or similar rules actually passing.
- XRP’s price starting to behave as if Schwartz’s rich, rational buyers think the odds have changed.
Some checkpoints are close. Ripple’s Swell conference runs October 27 to 29 in New York, with Brad Garlinghouse, Monica Long and David Schwartz listed as speakers. Crypto Bull’s $27 call expires two days later. Jake Claver’s late-2026 to early-2027 window remains open. The video’s advice is to watch what the price actually does, not what anyone says it will do.
Frequently asked questions
What would XRP's market cap be at $10,000 per coin?
Market cap is price multiplied by circulating supply. With the roughly 63 billion XRP in circulation that CCN cites from CoinGecko, $10,000 per coin works out to about $630 trillion. The video compares that with about $530 trillion in global personal wealth, while UBS's own reports point to roughly $520 trillion for 2025.
Who predicted XRP would reach $10,000?
Jake Claver, managing director of Digital Ascension Group, said XRP could reach $10,000 by late 2026 or early 2027, and CCN reported that he still holds that view. According to the video, X accounts including Mitchell Lionheart and Ripple Bullwinkle have also floated $10,000 or more.
What is David Schwartz's $10,000 XRP riddle?
Schwartz, one of the original architects of the XRP Ledger, posted in May that if "a few very rich, very rational people" believed there was a 1% chance of XRP hitting $10K in 10 years, they would bid it up to at least $20 today. He then asked why they aren't.
What do banks forecast for XRP?
According to 24/7 Wall Street, Standard Chartered cut its end-2026 XRP target from $8 to $2.80 in February, raised its 2028 target to $12.60 and kept $28 for 2030. Bitwise's most optimistic scenario, its "max case," puts XRP at about $29 by 2030.
How many XRP will ever exist?
The maximum supply is 100 billion XRP. The circulating amount changes as XRP is released from escrow.

From the video's captions, lightly formatted. Captions can mishear names and numbers, so check figures against the article above.
1 XRP equals $10,000. That's not my number, it's Jake Cleaver's, the managing director of Digital Asset Management Group. He said XRP could get there by the end of 2026 or early 2027. And this month in CCN's report, he was asked on a live stream if he still believes it, and his answer is, "I still think that." XRP was about a $1.34 on October 16th. And if you've been holding and hoping, second-guessing every big number that you see, and wondering if these price predictions are really hype or the truth, here's what you need to know.
You don't have bad luck in the crypto market, it's just that nobody gave you a system for judging these numbers and knowing how to create a process while you wait. So, if you hold a serious position in crypto, watch all the way to the end because back in May, one of the men who built the XRP ledger answered the $10,000 idea with one question. Not a yes, not a no, but a riddle. And by the end of this video, you'll be able to answer it yourself. So, quick note, this is education, not financial advice.
I'm not telling you to buy or sell anything here. If you're feeling bullish, like this video, subscribe to the channel. If you're going to become the first millionaire in your family tree, confirm it by commenting amen below. Let's run it. All right, bull runners, welcome back to the channel.
So, if you think you already know the answer to this riddle that we're going to talk about, let me know your thoughts in the comments below. First, [music] let's put every big number on the table with the name and a date next to it because a price prediction without a name and a date is just a rumor. At the very top, an ex-user called Mitchell Lionheart shared a graphic last November that put XRP between 10,000 and 50,000 dollars once banks and payment systems run on it. Then Jake Cleaver, $10,000 by late 2026 or early 2027. Back in February 2025, an account called Rowan Exchange posted that $10,000 XRP was not crazy and even called it conservative.
And just last month, Ripple Bullwinkle revived the $10,000 idea. CCN reports his case is [music] that it's a supply question, not a price question. If holders refuse to sell, banks would be fighting over a much smaller pool of coins. One rung down, $1,000. Dom Quawk, a former Goldman Sachs analyst and co-founder of Easy A, said, "I think it could go over $1,000 in the next 4 to 5 years." Then there's a chart with a deadline that's almost here.
On August 6th, an analyst called Crypto Bull, who has close to a million followers on X, posted a chart pointing to $27 by the end of October. That's this month. So, we'll come back to that clock. But now, let's talk about the banks. Standard Chartered's Geoff Kendrick is one of the few people at the big banks who puts numbers on XRP.
In February, according to 24/7 Wall Street, his team cut its end of 2026 target from $8 to $2.80, but it raised 2028 to $12.60, and kept $28 for 2030. And the asset manager Bitwise put out a model where its best case, what it called the max scenario, gets XRP to about $29 by 2030. So, look at this ladder here. The banks and fund managers top out around $30. The boldest start at $10,000.
That's a gap of more than 300 times. So, somebody is very, very wrong. So, the question is who, and how would you even know? Well, here's the first clue, and it's simple math here. CCN points out that CoinGecko counts roughly 63 billion XRP in circulation.
Multiply that by $10,000 a coin, and you get about $630 trillion. Now, how big is that? Well, UBS tracks the wealth of every adult on the planet. Their numbers for 2025 work out to be somewhere around $530 trillion. That's every house, every stock, every bank account, every business in the world.
So, $10,000 XRP would be worth more than all the personal wealth on Earth today. That's why the analyst Chat Nerd pushed back on the $10 to $50,000 graphic. He wrote, "XRP is not headed to $10,000 or $50,000 per coin, and such a price target is not realistic." He put his own range at $13 to $27 this cycle, and only with strong ETF inflows. So, is the case closed here? Well, not so fast.
The bulls have an answer, and it deserves a fair hearing here. First, market cap isn't just a pile of cash here. It's just the last price times the number of coins. So, if one coin trades at a higher price, the whole pile gets reevaluated, even if very little new money came in. Second, price is set at the margin.
If most holders never sell, a buyer only fights over the coins that are for sale. And third, [music] the utility argument. Jay Clayton's case is that a higher XRP price lets a bank move more money with fewer coins, and that's the real debate here. Not, is $10,000 big? Everybody agrees that it's big and it's outlandish.
That's not the debate here. The question is whether those three things can ever line up at scale, which brings us to the riddle here. Back in May, David Schwartz, one of the original architects of the XRP ledger, posted this. He said, "If there were a very few rich, very rational people who really believed that there was a 1% chance that XRP could hit $10,000 in 10 years, they'd bid XRP up to at least $20 today. Why aren't they?" And then he put a conspiracy with a question mark there.
So, read that again. He's not saying it can't happen. He asked why the price today doesn't act like it might. So, here's the math behind his riddle in plain English here. A one in a hundred shot at $10,000 is worth about $100 on average.
You'd have to wait 10 years and take a lot of risk. So, a careful buyer would pay less than that today. Schwartz says, "At least 20." But, XRP is about $1.34, depending on when you're watching this video. So, there are only a few ways to answer him. Number one, the rich, rational people don't believe there's even a 1% chance.
Number two, they believe it, but they can't buy enough XRP without moving the price on the open market, and that's the supply argument. Number three, they are buying slowly and it hasn't shown up yet, and they're accumulating OTC or through dark pools, which we've discussed in another video on our YouTube channel Bull Runners. So, make sure you subscribe to watch that. Now, here's what this means for your money. Whichever door you pick, the price on your screen today is the market's vote on the odds of the future.
If you run David Schwartz's own math backwards from a dollar and 34, and the market is pricing $10,000 XRP as a long, long shot, far less than one in a hundred. That doesn't mean that it's wrong. You see, markets miss big things all the time, but it means if your whole plan depends on that one number, you're betting on something the biggest buyers in the world aren't betting on yet. And I'll be honest, for years, when I saw a big number like this, I asked the wrong question. I asked, is it true?
The better question to ask is, what are the odds? And what does my plan do if it happens and if it doesn't happen? To have a plan for every scenario. And that's the part that most holders never sit down and actually do, because they're relying on crazy price predictions. Now, that's not on you.
Nobody hands you a plan when you open an exchange account. They just hand you a buy button so they can earn the fees on you. That's why Altcoin Pro, the company I co-founded, runs a private intelligence network through our accelerator program. Members learn how to lock down and self-custody their coins, how to think about concentration risk, what to check before moving crypto that's just sitting there, and how to read the charts with weekly coaching. You also get to see the research that my team, who's been in the crypto market for the past decade, shares with members before we ever cover it on social media.
So, picture this. [music] The next time somebody posts a $10,000 XRP price target, you don't feel the knot in your stomach. You already know what you do at $2 and $20. And if it goes the other way, it starts with a free review of how your crypto is set up, where your coins are kept, how much sits in one place, how to diversify that, the best opportunities that you're missing right now, and how to capitalize for the next major move in the market. And no one on our side will ever ask you for a seed phrase. You keep full custody of your crypto.
We're not financial advisors. This is purely educational purposes only. So, when you click the first link in the description below and you watch the free briefing, you'll see a button to book a strategy call with an expert on my team. If our intelligence network and our accelerator program's not the right fit for you, we'll be straight up with you. Our goal is to help guide you in the right direction.
We have people jump on these calls every single day, and we don't let everyone into our network because it's not the right fit for them, and that's completely fine. Now, let's get to the third clue because it happened this month.
[music]
Every one of those big predictions rest on a few things being true. A fixed supply, clear rules in the United States after the Clarity Act, and big money showing up at once. All three got tested in the last few weeks. First, [music] the supply. On October 9th, it came out that the XRP ledger had a bug that could have created about 18.45 trillion XRP.
For scale, the max supply is 100 billion right now. And we covered this in another video saying reports from a security firm called Veridia Labs found it. Ripple got the fix out in version 3.4 on September 25th, and there's no evidence that anyone used it. So, the 100 billion cap held, but it's a reminder. Every $10,000 model assumes that cap is rock solid, and this month it got tested.
Second, the rules. A lot of the bull cases, including Standard Chartered, lean on the Clarity Act passing. On September 15th, CNBC reported that the Senate vote to move it forward failed 49 to 50. It needs 60. So, it's stalled.
It's not dead, but with the midterms on November 3rd, the calendar is short here. Third, the big money. The US spot XRP ETFs have taken in about 1.8 billion dollars since launch and according to SoSo Value data with about 1.47 billion in assets as of October 16th. That's real money. It's also under 2% of XRP's market cap.
And this month Evernode, a company that holds about 473 million XRP, started trading on the NASDAQ under the ticker XRPN. On October 14th it named Ripple, Kraken, Coinbase and BitGo as partners to put that XRP to work. That's story number three from the riddle. Big buyers in public holding XRP. But 473 million coins is less than 1% of the supply.
And one more thing, because it's fair to say out loud here, big forecasts miss the timing all the time. And that includes the banks. Standard Chartered cut its 2026 target by 65% this year after XRP fell to about a dollar and 16 cents back in February according to 24/7 Wall Street. XRP hit about 365 in July of 2025. Today it's still under a dollar and 40 cents.
So anybody who planned their life around one price target is feeling that right now. So let's make this personal here. Say you have about $50,000 in XRP today. That's roughly 37,000 coins at a dollar 34. If Bitwise's bear case plays out, that position would be worth under $5,000.
At Standard Chartered's end of year target, about $104,000. At their 2030 number, around a million dollars. And I'm leaving the $10,000 row blank on purpose here because that's the riddle. You already have the math to judge it for yourself. Now here's the point of this table.
The same coins sit in every single row here. Your plan has to work in all of them, not just the one you're hoping for. That means knowing ahead of time what you do if XRP doubles, if it goes up 10X, and if it gets cut in half again. Where your coins are held, how much is in one exchange, where you take some off the table if the price goes up, written down before the move, not during [music] it. Now, to be fair to the bulls here, here's what would make me rethink all of this.
Number one, real banks holding XRP on their balance sheet and using it to settle in size in public that everyone can verify, not just partnerships here with Ripple the company. Settlement volume you can see on the XRP ledger with XRP. Number two, the Clarity Act or rules like it actually passing because they keep kicking the can down the road. Number three, the price starting to act like David Schwartz's rich rational buyers believe it. If the odds really change, the price today should change with them and you'll get a live test very soon.
Ripple's Swell conference runs in October 27th to the 29th in New York. Brad Garlinghouse, Monica Long, and David Schwartz himself are listed as speakers. Crypto Bulls $27 call runs out 2 days after that and Jake Claver's window, late 2026 to early 2027, is still open right now for $10,000. So, watch what the price action does, learn how to read charts, not what anybody says that the price will go to next.
[music]
So, here's the system. Use it on the next big number that you see from anybody, including me. Number one, who said it and when? A name, a date, a link. If there's no name, if there's no date, then it's a rumor.
Number two, what has to be true for it to happen? Write down the two or three things. Number three, [music] does the math fit the real world? Multiply the price by the supply and compare it to something real. Number four, what does my plan do if that prediction is wrong?
And what does it do if it's right? If you can answer all four of those questions, you're not holding and hoping anymore. You're actually making smart decisions as an educated investor. And here's the honest truth about big price predictions. Most people see one, they feel something, and they never write a plan for it because it feeds their confirmation bias.
They write it up and they write it all the way back down. So, this video gave you a way to judge the number. It didn't look at your setup, where your points are held, how concentrated you are in XRP, and what's just sitting there idle doing nothing while you wait for the price to go up. That's the work our private intelligence network at Altcoin Pro helps you with. Security and self-custody, how to think about concentration risk, and idle crypto earning you yield, weekly chart coaching on technical analysis, and the research that our team shares with members first for other altcoin picks before they hit centralized exchanges with serious long-term investors around you.
So, I'm not going to promise you a price here. Nobody honest can. What you get is a setup you understand and a plan that you've checked and cross-verified. The first step is clicking the link in the description below, watching the free briefing on the other side, and then filling out the form to set up a call with an expert on my team. We'll never ask you for your seed phrases or your logins, and we'll tell you straight up if our intelligence network is the right fit for you or not.
So, that way you walk away from the call with more confidence and clarity than you have right now. Because there's two doors that you can walk through. Number one, you close this video and you keep waiting for somebody else's price prediction. Or number two, you book a free portfolio review and you develop a strategy that actually works. So, there's no pressure.
This is not a sales call. This is a strategy call to help you succeed in the years to come. And as always, crypto carries risk. Past performance doesn't guarantee future results. These videos are designed for the people that want to educate themselves on how the market actually operates.
So, as always, results aren't typical, but you're not typical. I'll see you on the next video. I'll see you at the top. You know what to do. Stay bullish.
Education and commentary only, not financial advice. Crypto is volatile and you can lose money. Do your own research and speak to a qualified advisor before making investment decisions. Figures and quotes are as reported in the video on October 21, 2026 and may have changed since.
