Altcoin Tier List for 2027: 25 Coins Ranked by Token Demand
A Bullrunners video ranks 25 altcoins, from Solana and Uniswap to XRP and Monero, on one test: does network growth create real demand for the coin?

Key takeaways
- The video's core point is that a growing network and a growing coin are different things. Ask whether a project's success creates demand for the token through ETF flows, buybacks, burns or real usage.
- Size limits upside. The video argues Ethereum, at about $300 billion, and Tron, at about $30 billion, have less room to grow than smaller coins with similar proof.
- Count unreleased supply. The video says only about 41% of SUI was circulating, and that Ondo faces an unlock of about 40% more tokens in January.
- For XRP, the video says the key question is whether ETF, treasury company and retail buying outpaces the XRP that leaves escrow each month.
- The video treats a B or C tier ranking as a watch list, not a verdict. Each coin's entry names the change that would move it up.
A Bullrunners video ranked 25 of the largest altcoins from S tier to D tier for a possible 2027 bull run, using one test: does network growth create real demand for the coin? Solana, Uniswap and Hyperliquid made S tier. XRP, Sui and Bittensor landed in A tier, while Ethereum, Quant and Aave fell to C.
The ranking matters for holders because it separates two things that often get blurred: a project doing well and its token doing well. Several big names, including Ethereum, Tron and Quant, rank low despite real success. In the host’s view, their wins either don’t reach the coin or are already priced in. The video stresses that none of the rankings are price targets, that some of these coins will go down, and that every rank can change within a month or two.
What test decided the rankings?
The Bullrunners tier list scores each coin on whether network or business growth keeps creating demand for the token, through ETF flows, buybacks, burns, supply unlocks and real usage. The host says he did not judge coins on prices or partnership announcements.
Each tier has a fixed meaning in the video:
- S tier: room to grow, and the proof is already there.
- A tier: a strong case with one big question.
- B tier: needs something that isn’t happening yet.
- C tier: solid, but limited.
- D tier: the best part has probably already happened.
The full 25-coin tier list
| Coin | Tier | Main reason, per the video |
|---|---|---|
| Solana (SOL) | S | Most fees of any chain listed; spot ETFs took in about $1.6 billion in under a year |
| Uniswap (UNI) | S | Fee switch sends part of fees to a pot emptied only by burning UNI |
| Hyperliquid (HYPE) | S | About 80% of fees go to a fund that buys HYPE, which now counts as burned |
| XRP | A | Spot ETFs hold over $1 billion of XRP; question is whether buying beats escrow supply |
| Sui (SUI) | A | Big room if activity recovers, but only about 41% of supply is out |
| Bittensor (TAO) | A | Held value this year; pays about $360 million a year in new TAO versus a few million in customer revenue |
| Render (RENDER) | B | Jobs burn RENDER, but business is about $3 million a year |
| Cardano (ADA) | B | ETFs awaiting approval at the time of the video; chain earns about $2,400 a day in fees |
| Ethena (ENA) | B | Buyback starts only when USDe returns to $7.5 billion (under $5 billion now) |
| Chainlink (LINK) | B | Reserve converts about $4 million a month into LINK; no bank confirmed paying in production |
| Stellar (XLM) | B | About $3 billion of tokenized assets; no spot ETF at the time of the video; about 30% of supply still to come |

| Zcash (ZEC) | D | Up about 10x this year and trading near its high |
| Monero (XMR) | D | Same privacy trade with a smaller run; upgrade still in testing; exchange risk |
Why Solana, Uniswap and Hyperliquid made S tier
The video argues that the three S tier coins already show network activity turning into demand for the token. According to the video, Solana earns more in fees than any other chain on the list, and its spot ETFs, which hold real SOL, have pulled in about $1.6 billion in less than a year. The host notes that Solana is about a fifth the size of Ethereum and lost some ground this year, but he argues that gap leaves room to catch up.
Uniswap is the comparison the host said he cared about most. The video says the exchange made about $150 million in fees last month, mostly paid to the people who provide trading pairs, and that for five years UNI holders got nothing. According to the video, that changed at the end of last year. Holders voted to send part of the fees into a pot that can only be emptied by burning UNI, and 100 million UNI was burned from the treasury on day one. The video says only about 8% of fees go to the pot now. Its point is that this is the first time the largest exchange in DeFi has been connected to its token.
Hyperliquid is the mirror image. According to the video, it made about $90 million in fees last month, less than Uniswap, but around 80% went to a fund that buys HYPE on the open market. Since a December vote, the video says, that HYPE counts as burned. Neither token pays holders directly. The host sees the business itself as Hyperliquid’s main risk. The video says it handled about 70% of onchain futures trading in spring 2025, that its share has fallen since, and that rivals such as Aster and Lighter are catching up. Counting every HYPE that will ever exist, the video puts its value at about $80 billion, so fees have to keep growing just to support that.
Where does the video rank XRP?
XRP ranks A tier, and the host says a $14 price is hard to justify on current evidence. At $14, XRP’s value would be nearly $900 billion at current circulating supply. The video says that is more than Ethereum has ever been worth, and that XRP last held that kind of market share at the top of the 2018 mania.
The video splits XRP into two parts. The first part buys XRP. US spot XRP ETFs hold more than $1 billion of actual XRP and have taken in slightly more than the Solana ETFs. Evernorth, a company built to hold XRP, already holds hundreds of millions of it. The second part is Ripple’s business, including its growing stablecoin and conditional approval for a US trust bank. The host calls that good news for Ripple the company, but notes that a bank can use Ripple’s software and stablecoin without ever holding XRP.
Supply is the other side. Each month 1 billion XRP unlocks from escrow, and most of it goes straight back in. Ripple sells some to fund its business. The video says what actually comes out is a few hundred million XRP a month. It adds that Ripple stopped publishing its sales report last year, so current sales can’t be seen.
The host’s conclusion is that if ETF, treasury company and individual buying keeps outpacing new supply from escrow, he can see XRP returning to the top three coins, somewhere around $7. That is the host’s scenario, not a forecast. In the video, XRP stays A tier until there is more onchain proof of real volume using XRP.
Why Sui and Bittensor carry one big question
For Sui, the video says the big question is supply and activity. According to the video, only about 41% of all SUI is in circulation, and any valuation has to count the full supply. On that basis, the host says $16 would make Sui worth about what Solana was at its peak, which he called very unlikely for a chain doing a fraction of Solana’s activity. He described around $11 as still a stretch. The video says Sui rose about 14 times from its 2023 low to its 2025 high. It also says stablecoins on Sui have roughly halved since last year, app deposits are down more than half from their record, and fees run a few thousand dollars a day.
Bittensor is a network that pays people to build AI models. The video says it held its value this year while the market fell about a third. The host’s concern is that it pays builders around $360 million a year in new TAO. On one estimate cited in the video, those builders earn only a few million from real customers, perhaps $15 million at most. In other words, most of the money in the system is the token paying people.
Why big names landed in C and D tier
The video argues that several of the most successful projects rank low because their success doesn’t reach the coin or is already priced in. According to the video, Ethereum and Tron carry most of the world’s stablecoins. The host says Ethereum’s size limits its upside and Tron’s supply is still growing. Quant was picked by The Clearing House, a group owned by large US banks, and QNT more than tripled in about a week. The host’s point is that the price moved before any bank had a reason to buy QNT.
Others face specific problems in the video’s telling. Aave, the largest lending app, was buying back its token until April. The video says an exploit on another protocol then left bad debt on Aave, and the buybacks haven’t returned. The video says BNB has strong burns, including about $930 million worth in July, but much depends on Binance. Polkadot, in the host’s words, shows that a crash is not the same as room to grow. Zcash sits in D tier because, in the host’s view, its big move has already happened. Monero joins it because, the video says, it ran less, its privacy upgrade is still in testing, and exchanges remain a risk.
How to run the same test on your own coins
The video closes with questions any holder can apply to what they own:
- Is the project winning? This covers real usage, not just announcements.
- Does that win reach the coin? The host points to ETF flows, buybacks, burns or real usage from banks as the links that matter.
- Is there still room for it to matter? A large coin needs far more new money to move than a small one.
The host adds that a B or C tier ranking is not bad news. It tells you what to watch for: the moment a project’s success starts reaching the coin. He also says that how much a person puts in and when they take profit will matter more than any tier list.
What to watch next
The video says flows, buybacks, burns and unlocks change every month, and the host plans another video re-ranking the list. Items worth tracking include:
- XRP ETF holdings against escrow outflows.
- The share of Uniswap fees routed to burns.
- Hyperliquid’s share of onchain futures trading.
- Sui’s unlock schedule and activity.
- Ethena’s USDe supply against the $7.5 billion trigger.
- Ondo’s January unlock.
Frequently asked questions
Which altcoins are in S tier for 2027 according to the Bullrunners video?
The video puts Solana (SOL), Uniswap (UNI) and Hyperliquid (HYPE) in S tier. The host argues all three already show a working link between network activity and demand for the coin, through ETF inflows, fee burns or token buybacks.
Why is Ethereum ranked C tier?
The video says the Ethereum network is winning, with more stablecoins than any other chain, but ETH is already worth about $300 billion. Reaching $25,000 would take about $3 trillion in value, nearly twice Bitcoin's value at the time, so the host sees limited room to grow.
Can XRP reach $14?
At current circulating supply, $14 XRP would mean a value of nearly $900 billion. The video says that is more than Ethereum has ever been worth, and the host said he could not make that case. He described a scenario near $7 as possible only if ETF and treasury buying keeps outpacing new XRP from escrow, which is speculation, not a forecast.
Why is Uniswap ranked so high in the video?
According to the video, a holder vote at the end of last year sent part of Uniswap's fees into a pot that can only be emptied by burning UNI, and 100 million UNI was burned from the treasury on day one. The video says about 8% of fees go to that pot now, and that share can grow.
How much SUI is unlocked?
The video says only about 41% of all SUI was in circulation at the time of recording, with the rest still to be released. It argues any valuation should count the full supply.
